Police 'Scuffle' Caught on Tape

A video shot during a demonstration in downtown Columbus shows a confrontation between a police officer out of service and another uniformed officer, who worked as private security.

Witnesses began filming the incident, after seeing off-duty detective Roger Dickinson on the wall, Mark Harrington, creative director just said. Dickinson was with Harrington and other protesters, the officer in uniform - covered in the video as "Jack" - was invited to move.

In the video, Dickinson, shouting repeatedly: "Jack," let it go because it is pushed against the wall.

"Let me go, Jack! Let go. Let me now!" Dickinson says.

Other officers arrived as backup, and finally, the officer released his hold.

The Columbus Police Department will conduct an internal investigation into the incident. A spokesman said that the CPD video does not show the complete story of what happened to the argument.

Harrington speculated that personal views on abortion may have played a role in the actions of the officers, although he did not know the cause of violence.
