This is THE original human slingshot developed by the Pope family in Hobble Creek Canyon, UT. Just a couple posts and some bungie cords. Filmed with Canon 5D Mark II and Canon 7D. Edited in FCP and color corrected in DaVinci Resolve.
No longer satisfied with gravity or a good running start, Devin Graham and his friends spice up your normal, run-of-the-mill, gigantic slip and slide by adding a giant slingshot as a launch vehicle while out in Paradise, Utah.
This particular human slingshot was made by the Pope family in Hobble Creek Canyon, Utah and is supposed to be the OG human slingshot. If you think about it, it's nothing more than two posts and some bungie cords but that's pigeonholing its awesomeness—it's more like horizontal bungie jumping. And it looks so motherloving fun. I guess I finally have a reason to go to Utah.
